Dare 2 Be D.E.A.F. is an organization that encourages students in Florence County School District Three (FCSD3) to dream, educate, aim, and focus on their career goals. Our mission is to provide a diverse educational and vocational platform for students to learn more about the necessary steps to become successful in specific fields of interest. We understand the importance of representation; thus, we bring back Lake City High School Alumni to connect, expand, enlighten, and encourage the aspirations of the next generation. Since our inception in 2014, we have been able to make a positive impact on students in a variety of ways. 

 

We have hosted multiple career fairs and vision board parties, awarded $4,500 in scholarships along with contributing over $7,500 in college shopping sprees for our top scholarship applicants to purchase school and dorm supplies. We have also organized book drives to increase literacy in our community which has allowed us to donate over 500 books to our school libraries. From elementary to high school, these initiatives have reached well over 800 students as well as parents and educational advocates in FCSD3.
